Buried deep within a magic castle a treasure awaits, guarded by some of the most fearsome and terrible creatures known to man. If that sounds like the intro to a game of Dungeons & Dragons you’re probably right. It also happens to be the premise behind WORKINMAN‘s first original game release, Treasure Swipe which landed on the iTunes marketplace last week.

Much like Fruit Ninja, Treasure Swipe works on the simple function of either swiping your finger across the screen to open bags of gold and unlock treasure chests or “popping” enemies with a tap. Building on that, Workinman has also incorporated RPG elements that allow players to upgrade their skills as they earn more loot. You’ll be doing a lot of that by the way because this game is tough! The precision gameplay prevents Treasure Swipe from reaching Ninja Gaiden levels of frustration, but there’s definitely a commitment involved in order to progress. It’s a minor complaint as a casual gamer looking to waste a few minutes between meetings, but a huge plus for hardcore gamers considering the 99-cent price tag.

Treasure Swipe can be a bit tough for casual gamers considering the level of challenge involved, but eager treasure hunters will be rewarded with a well-designed gaming experience that’s a steal!
